Hey!
Life is much too short to not enjoy it;and that said, the world is rapidly becoming a easier place in which to connect with people of all backgrounds. America is about to have it's first African-American President, and yet it IS a country that desperately needs to "right it's wrongs".I myself, like our President to be,like to "think outside the box". I see a nation and a world on the brink of possible anihilation unless we address our "proclivities for self-indulgence". Too long have we looked out just for "me and mine" and not cared about the unborn, the poor, the uneducated, the working class,as well as those of alternative lifestyles. Each of these needs no critcism or ridicule, but a "hand up" rather than just a hand out. I am such a Man, who sees people as GOD'S creation, and therefore deserving of love, compassion, friendship,encouragement and what ever else it takes to see our fellow human beings get ahead; of course, without inflicting harm in any sense of the word on another person. I am "committed" to the betterment of humanity, to the extent that I will use my gifts, talents and abilityies to help the world become a better place.

I don't know about you,but I have read the Bible in Matthew 24, where it talks about the "birth pangs" of the end of time, and the events which lead up to the return of Jesus Christ. The things that are happening with our national and global weather, the state of the worl'ds economy, and just the level of depravity to which human beings have sunk all seems to indicate that we are indeed at or close to, the end of time. I'm sure some will think "this guy has lost his mind". However, I HAVE LIVED THROUGH MORE THAN 5 decades, and let me tell you, it's not an "age thing", but an observation that the world has NEVER been as cruel and as unpredictable as it is presently. Also, the Bible says that Israel will be a "thorn in the flesh" to many nations-(see Ezekiel and Daniel_Old Testament) to verify this. O.K.! so what do you think? do we have need for concern about the state of human affairs as it relates to world events? and if so, what are your ideas as to what should be done about it, and what kind of contribution can YOU make?
